Stephanie Ochoa
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist # 140826
My life has been shaped by a tapestry of diverse experiences, each leading me to the person and therapist I am today. From a young age, I’ve felt a deep calling to care for and support others. Growing up, I devoted much of my time to helping and volunteering for those in need, instilling in me a profound understanding of the power of compassion and nurturing.
Alongside my passion for caregiving, I discovered a love for creativity and self-expression. I once owned a chain of vintage boutiques and explored interior design, where I channeled my artistic vision to create beauty and meaning in the world around me.
While my journey has been filled with joy and creativity, it has also been marked by profound loss. Years ago, I experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing my full-term baby girl during delivery—a tragedy that became a pivotal moment in my life. Seeking therapy for the first time during this period opened the door to my own healing journey. Through extensive trauma and grief work, I learned how to grow through pain, turning loss into resilience and purpose.
Today, I’ve found my greatest passion in life through my work as a therapist. After earning my M.A. in Counseling, I pursued marriage and family therapy, where I embrace a humanistic approach to guiding my clients. I feel deeply honored to hold space for individuals as they embark on their own healing journeys. Witnessing my clients’ transformations has not only expanded my heart but also given my life profound meaning and purpose.
I am a passionate advocate for women and a proud ally of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. What moves me most about therapy is the privilege of helping others reconnect with their authentic selves. Serving as a compassionate witness to their growth and transformation fills me with awe and gratitude every day. Supervised by Chrissy Powers, LMFT #84340
