Healing Spaces: The Cave of Eggs & The Rose Den
Healing Spaces: The Cave of Eggs in Saint Baume, France & The Rose Den in Venice, CA
It was May of 2023 and we were on a French Provincial mountainside breathless, covered in dirt and filled with excitement. We had just found the Yoni Cave! You might be asking, Yoni Cave! What’s that exactly? It’s a sacred cave dedicated to the feminine in the South of France. It is shaped like a Yoni and feels very much like a womb inside. It has been a site of pilgrimage since at least the 5th century, when local traditions began to associate it with Mary Magdalene's life after Christ's resurrection. It is said that Mary Magdalene lived here for the last 30 years of her life to escape prosecution and that she frequently ascended to the Heavens through meditation and prayer. Over time, it has drawn pilgrims and visitors who seek to honor Mary Magdalene and experience the spiritual significance of the location and the meaning behind its name “The Cave of Eggs”.
The "Cave of Eggs" refers to a particular tradition where visitors believe that eggs found in the cave symbolize new life and resurrection, resonating with themes of rebirth associated with Mary Magdalene. Pilgrims such as myself and the 8 ladies that joined me on this scared feminine trip visit to pay homage and seek spiritual connection. I read about this cave in the book “Mary Magdalene Revealed: The Christianity We Haven’t Tried Yet” by Meggan Waterson and 3 months later I was in France hiking for 2 hours trying to find this sacred cave. There is no map to finding the cave only small notations of green paint on rocks here and there to guide you. If you ask anyone who has found this cave they will inevitably tell you a heroine’s story arch that consists of hope, losing hope, almost giving up and then EUREKA!
We had just turned around to give up our search when my friend and Rose Den Owner Natasha Radwan yelled, “CAVE!!!!!!” She had not given up and in fact ran ahead to find the cave in a last ditch effort. She found it and lead us all to this sacred place and then busted out cacao for a cacao ceremony and lead us through a prayer. Instant sisterhood bounds were formed in that moment. Afterwards we walked wearily through a French village on wobbly, satisfied legs talking about our dreams of being able to share this experience and healing with more women.
Mary Magdalene's Cave of Eggs
We both had dreams of creating healing spaces! Natasha had the beautiful dream of creating a healing space in L.A. for healings and therapists to use for their various modalities and retreats. I’m excited to share with you her healing space The Rose Den in Venice, CA where I host and lead weekend Ketamine Intensives and Natasha serves tea in the practice of Cha Dao.

In today’s fast-paced world, creating spaces for healing isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential. Nestled in the heart of Venice, CA, The Rose Den embodies a sanctuary where people can reconnect, renew, and find a deeper level of healing. This unique space brings together intentional design, holistic practices, and an atmosphere that encourages both personal growth and inner peace.
Why Healing Spaces Matter:
In my work with ketamine-assisted somatic therapy, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative potential of a carefully curated environment. Spaces like The Rose Den provide a setting where clients can fully immerse in the process, safely and vulnerably. Every aspect of The Rose Den has been mindfully designed to support this work, from its comforting interiors to the tranquil garden areas, setting the stage for profound self-discovery.
The Rose Den Experience:
When clients step into The Rose Den, they enter a place that feels immediately calming yet alive with possibility. With its blend of natural light, thoughtfully curated art, and serene décor, this space provides a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe, and allow healing to unfold. During ketamine intensives, this backdrop is essential for safety, grounding and introspection, allowing clients to engage deeply with the experience in a setting that feels secure and nurturing.
Beyond Therapy: A Community for Wellness:
One of the most remarkable aspects of The Rose Den is its commitment to building a community around wellness. Beyond individual sessions, this space fosters a collective energy where practitioners and clients alike can connect, share, and grow together. As a provider, it’s rewarding to be part of this community that honors both individual and shared journeys toward well-being.
Embodying Peace and Transformation:
The Rose Den offers more than just a physical space—it offers an opportunity to reconnect with oneself in a profound way. Healing spaces like this remind us that transformation isn’t always about radical change; sometimes, it’s about finding a peaceful place where we can begin to shift, layer by layer, toward a more embodied life.
If you’re curious about ketamine assisted somatic therapy or looking for a place that prioritizes your healing journey, The Rose Den offers a unique, serene setting where you can feel truly seen and supported.
